Our Beach Vacation

Hi Everyone,

As you can see by the many pictures we had a great time on our vacation to the beach! We went to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach on the border of Alabama and Florida. The weather was absolutely perfect! It didn't rain one day, so we were able to spend lots of time on the beach. Joey loved the gulf water, the waves, sand, swimmining pool, everything! We spent our days playing on the beach, reading, walking, napping, etc. And went to favorite places to eat at night. My favorite was Lulu's (Jimmy Buffet's sister's place) and Steve's was Lambert's (Home of the throwed rolls). Also, Joey was a great little traveler. The trip was 16 hours (2 days) one way and he did great! We did take his mower along with us for when we stopped at rest areas, he was able to get some work done. All in all we had a wonderful time! Sorry it took me so long to post our pictrues. I should be back up to speed with the weekly blogging from now on.

Hi,

We had a great first week of summer break! Steve worked a basketball all week with the grade school kids. As you can see from the pictures, Joey had lots of fun with his friends. On Thursday, Parker came over and Joey and him played together great! Then on Sunday we went to a birthday party for Kalleigh. The kids really enjoyed themselves with lots of things to play outside!

Hi,

Well most of the pics are from a Memorial Day cookout we had at our friends', the Bowsers last Monday. They just moved back to town and it was a great time! The kids had a tons of fun playing together. We are so lucky to the group of friends we do!!! I didn't take many other pics this week because I was busy with the end of the year school stuff and working in the yard. But I had to add the last pic of Joey chillin out watching Grammy's neighbor mow. He is so enthralled with lawn mowers!!

Well have a great week everyone! It is our first official week of summer off school. Steve is working a basketball camp, so Joey and I will be hanging out at the house getting a few things done, hopefully.
