Always Up to Something!

Joey loves to "help" Mommy in the kitchen. This picture is so classic and reminds me of my childhood. I had a picture like this but I had all of the cans out.

He also loves his snacks in the morning. Can you tell Joey chose which bowl to put his grapes in?
His new favorite morning snack is an oatmeal raisin breakfast cookie. Joey is our "cookie monster"!!

This week Joey has taken to doing some funny things. He likes to wear my headbands around the house. I thought we were going to have to wear it to church Sunday morning!
Next, Joey is starting to put himself in timeout. He pretends to do something naughty and then goes to the wall (funny).
Joey is also enjoying playing in very small spaces. Right now he likes boxes and clothes baskets. We have a problem when he wants us to join him!

This Weeks Highlights

Early on in the week Joey celebrated Abe Lincoln's birthday, hence the top hat and beard. Thanks Debbie, this was too cute!!!!
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Joey decorated cards for his friends and loved opening his own surprises!

On Friday, Joey went to a birthday party for his friend, Luke. He had a great time playing with his friends and eating cake and ice cream.

Joey took a roadtrip to Champaign on Sunday. He loved riding the merry-go-round with Mommy and Aunt Gina. And now has a new favorite football jersey. Go Joey "Juice" Bosch!
We are looking forward to our day off tomorrow (President's Day) and relaxing at home.
Love,
Steve, Annie, and Joey

Good Days and Bad Days

Hello,
Well I hope everyone is feeling better than a few members of our family have been lately. Overall, we had a good week. Joey played his first computer game. It is Sesame Street so he loves to play with Elmo on the computer too! We also went to Ash Wednesday services for the start of the Lenten season. In one of the pictures you can see the remains of Joey's ashes on his forehead. He was quite intrigued with that part of the church service, noticing everyone's crosses on their heads. He was telling everyone, "Cross head!" (funny) But by Thursday morning Joey wasn't his regular happy self. He came down with a bug that lasted through the weekend. He had a temp. for a few days, didn't want to eat, drank lots of juice, and watched "The Wiggles" as much as he could. As you can see in the last picture he was a very tired boy. He is finally feeling better today (Sunday). But unfortunately Daddy isn't so lucky, he caught the bug today. We hope he feels better soon and pray that Mommy stays healthy!

Love,
Annie

Lots of Pictures!

Hello,
As you can see we took a lot of pictures this week! Like always Joey has been a busy little guy. He helped Mommy make cookies to take to the Super Bowl party. He was a little scared of the hand mixer. Joey felt like a big boy sitting in his new seat at the table. He has been perfectly content in his high chair but we were ready to have some extra room in the kitchen. Joey loves to play with his toys and usually gets lots out at one time. At the Super Bowl party the kids had fun making homemade icecream in the ball. That was cool and it tasted great! We had a fun time at the Barton's party, but didn't expect the snow! I've taken some shots of Joey playing with some of my old toys, he loves the little people. On Friday we had a snow day. It was great having the day to just spend together! Joey had fun playing in the snow and sledding!
Love,
Annie
